SDISDI standas for Serial Digital Interface and is an unecrypted, high speed, high reliabilty transmission standard using relatively cheap coax cables up to 100 meters. It is the best way to connect your DVD Player to your Scaler as it will deliver an unprocessed, raw, not deinterlaced and not touched otherwise video signal. For maximum quality, an external scaler will do all your deinterlacing, converting, scaling, input/output switching and image manipulation you need. It is much better than the cheap stuff that is often used in projectors and panels. This way you can avoid your video signal being manipulated multiple times by inferior chipsets.Our SDI board can be installed in various DVD players and Satellite receivers, although the selection of satellite receivers is rather limited. DVI / HDMIDVI using HDCP and HDMI with HDCP included are getting more wide spread all the time. Although the signal that is transmitted over DVI/HDMI is never in it's original PAL or NTSC form (always deinterlaced = progressive and therefore disliked by homte cinema enthusiasts), it is cheaper and being adapted by all consumer electronic product types (displays, projectors, dvd players, satellite receivers). Therefore we have made our DVI output board. In contrary to all products from big brands, this is not using the HDCP copy protection scheme so older displays and projectors can still be connected.
